Happy Mother’s Day

I hope all of you moms are having a relaxing Mother’s Day. I told you how I miss my mom going to lunch

together in my newsletter. I spent most summers and Christmas with my mom instead of being overseas. On our last big mom-and-daughter trip, we covered nine states. We could have never dreamed something like covid would hit the world, and that put a stop to all our trips and even giving her in-person hugs till finally, I told her I had to be able to hug her. I am sure many of you can relate. I am sure many of you can relate. I would love to see pictures of you and your mom; if you wish to share, send them to my FB page, diannfloydboehm, and post your photos.

My mom and I are taking the tram up the Rockies. It was the first time for her to see the Rockies. From Texas, we traveled to Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and back to Texas.

High School Reunion!

You might wonder why I am spending so much time writing about my HS reunion, but I hope it inspires you to go to your reunion.

I want to acknowledge Anna Silverstein and her team, that made our high school reunion a success. Thank you, Anna Silverstein, Mike Hogan, Phil Collins, Donny Mc Corquodale, Sherry Langnau, Dr. Joy Beth Luyties, Linda, and David Windham.

Anna and her team made sure the people who arrived the night before had a chance to connect, so we met at the Rainout Bar and Grill, and Donny Mc Corquodale’s band, “Coldfeet,” entertained us. Donny is a member of our senior class. I stood there watching the band play and was transported back to a high school dance where I stood and watched with awe because they were so good. Check out my author’s FacebookTM book page as I will post some highlights of the band.

On Saturday afternoon, many from our class watched Freddie as he and his band, ‘Freddy Steady Revue’, entertained the crowd for Sylvan Beach Day. The band delighted the audience with their incredible songs and special guests. I also must mention that the talented David Hargrove played in both bands and Jack Horn in Coldfeet are graduates of ’73. Be sure to check out some of my author’s page posts to hear them in action.
That evening Sherry, Anna, Beth, Linda, and I welcomed the 1972 graduates as they arrived and were given a warm welcome. We had an excellent sit-down meal with a live band to dance, laugh and share memories.

A special thanks to Anna and Phil Collins, who made sure those classmates called Home were with us in spirit. Phil’s slide show and booklets he printed for each table allowed us to read about their lives and recall good times with them.

A special thanks to Anna and Phil Collins, who put together an incredible memorial to our classmates who were called HOME. Phil’s slide show and booklets he printed for each table enabled them to be remembered, talked about and for sure, they were with us in spirit. Thank you Phil.
